The library containing books related to Archival Science and the History of the Island. In addition there are books related to Political Science, Folklore, Anthropology, Law, Culture, Foreign Relations and Literature.However,researchers in the Search room could request a publication relative to their research ares.Requisition for publication should be made in the relevant requisition form.This is not a public library and its for the Departmental officers.The Requisition form to the filled in properly by the applicant.
Horagolla Library
Library of Sir Solomon Dias Bandaranaike and family was donated to the Department of National Archives. There is an extensive collection of books on various subjects and includes number of diaries of Sir Solomon Dias Bandaranaike, Biographies, Hansard and Acts.
