Introduction

We greatly appreciate your interest in providing feedback on the Framework for National Archives and Records Management Legislation. We seek your views and suggestions to create a comprehensive law that meets the needs of the public.

The following members were appointed to the committee to revise the National Archives Law No. 48 of 1973 by the Secretary, Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs.

Your responses can be sent by post, e-mailed to dgna@archives.gov.lk or handed over by visiting our head office at No. 7, Philip Gunawardene Mawatha, Colombo 07 or our branch office at No. 4/6, Hemamali Mawatha, Kandy.

In submitting comments, we encourage you to be specific and provide rationale to support your points.
